World Stereoscopy Day, being held on the 21st June every year, is an international celebration of stereoscopic 3-D. Whilst everyone is encouraged to join in and celebrate in their own way, the website has just released a list of some of the events being held across the world to mark the occasion.

The Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy have announced the first international Stereoscopy Day is to take place on June 21st 2022.

To accompany the exhibition ‘Henri Caruel, Stéréoscopie de Cinéma 1942-1953’, which is taking place until 1st January 2022 at the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation, 73, avenue des Gobelins, Paris 13th arrondissement, photo historian Denis Pellerin will be giving two free online 3-D talks ‘Henri Caruel, Still Stereo Photographer During the Occupation of France and the After-War Years’ and an in-person presentation at the Foundation.
On Test: Belplasca Stereoscopic (3-D) Camera and Kosmo Foto Agent Shadow Film
Kosmo Foto recently had a Kickstarter campaign for their Agent Shadow 400 ASA black and white 35mm film and I was lucky enough to be able to test some before it is released. I decided to use my current favourite 35mm stereo camera, a Belplasca, and share the results.
Stereoscopic and Immersive Media International Conference: Timetable Now Online
The 4th International Stereoscopic and Immersive Media Conference's timetable is now available online. There are Keynote speakers, parallel sessions, a virtual exhibition, a short stereoscopic film festival, an auction, the launch of the Carlos Relvas' Stereo Raisonné and collector's choice short clips. All of this is online over 4 days, the 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th June 2021. You may even see some familiar faces!
Create Your Own Panning Stereoscopic (3-D) Photographs!
To celebrate two years of The Stereoscopy Blog we're going to have a play with StereoPhoto Maker and make a panning stereoview video; these work really well on wide landscape stereoviews and are ideal for use on smartphones and social media. I'm writing it step-by-step and as there are so many steps involved you may want to bring a picnic/sleeping blanket for this one!

1910s Stereoscopic (3-D) Wedding Party
These stereoviews were in a set of 15 which were originally made in France in the 1910s. The mounts show they were taken by a photographer with a studio in Paris and the clothing style shows French military uniforms as well as French fashion typical of the era. We're going to examine them and see what information we can find.
