Apparently a live-action movie, based on the Mattel ‘View-Master’, is in the works with Mattel, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Escape Artists combining forces:
“Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT), a leading global toy and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world, is developing a live-action feature film with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Escape Artists based on the company’s timeless 3-D image View-Master toy.”

It would be weird if the View-Master movie will not be made in 3D. However, you can expect strange policy from Sony Pictures, as they have made the great 3D IMAX movie Across The Sea Of Time and did not making it available on Blu-ray 3D 😢
