The third annual Stereoscopy Day, an international celebration of stereoscopic 3-D, will take place again on 21st June 2024; 186 years to the day when Charles Wheatstone first presented the stereoscope and his theory of binocular vision to the world.
This year’s events have been announced by The Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy, and the full 2024 events page is now live on the Stereoscopy Day website. You can sign up to BMAS’s free online talks (‘Victorian Working Class Women in the Stereoscope’, and ‘An International Curators’ Tour of the Victorian Virtual Reality Exhibition’) directly on the events page. More worldwide events and activities are constantly being added, so it’s recommended to keep checking back.
