As Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, Compton, UK, celebrates the final week of their exhibition Victorian Virtual Reality: Photographs from the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy, you can join them for a special evening event, filled with activities based around Victorian stereoscopic (3-D) photography and the Victorian parlour experience.
There will be an exclusive curators’ tour of the VVR exhibition given by Denis Pellerin and Rebecca Sharpe, from the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy (BMAS), followed by a 3-D talk ‘Victorian Working Women in the Stereoscope’, given by, and using images from BMAS. This will be a relaxed and sociable evening, experiencing Victorian style entertainment viewing and handling stereoscopic images, with the opportunity to talk to the Curators of the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy.
A selection of small bites, cheese, wine and soft drinks will be provided, all snacks and first drink included in the ticket price.
